Reeds bloom and autumn water turns white, waiting for the beauty’s arrival. On the afternoon of Nov. 10, the 2018 Ningbo Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park Reed Festival & Reed Fairy Final themed “Destiny of Reeds, Search for Love” were held. 20 girls who stood out in the mass auditions and semi-finals gathered at Ningbo Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park to compete for the laurel of “Reed Fairy”.
After the contest was launched on Oct. 8, publicity and registration were carried out through Tencent, iQIYI, Tik Tok, Voice of Zhejiang, Voice of West Lake, Ningbo Traffic Radio and other platforms. Regional offline mass auditions were carried out in Zhejiang, Hangzhou, Ningbo and Yuhang-Cixi. In the end, 20 beauties advanced to the final to show their talents. From the catwalk show to singing, dancing, reading and instrumental performance, they displayed the elegant demeanor of the Reed Fairy. Through competition, Zhu Qianxuan from Ningbo won the judges’ favor and became the “Reed Fairy” champion depending on her Zheng performance of the song “Blue and White Porcelain” that displayed Chinese traditional culture and her outstanding self introduction. Zhou Luni and Liu Ying respectively won the second place and the third place. Yu Tingting won the Innest Reed Award. Zeng Tian won the Best Popularity Award depending on her 12,832 votes. Chen Zimeng won the Best Eloquence Award. Fei Wenli won the Best Physique Award. Cao Chenyue won the Best Talent Award.
A field of wild reeds and the movie “Caught in the Web” contributed to the love story between Gao Yuanyuan and Zhao Youting and gave Ningbo Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park the beautiful artistic conception of “Love”. The Reed Festival is one of the most “loving” brand festivals in Ningbo. The theme of 2018 Ningbo Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park “Reed Festival” is “Destiny of Reeds, Search for Love”. With ecological civilization construction, ecological environmental protection and reed-themed ecological leisure tourism as the entry points, using the advantage of reed resources, on the basis of past events, this year’s Reed Festival has a longer duration, wider publicity, more participants and greater influence. Ningbo Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park’s ecotourism resources and good development of ecotourism are fully demonstrated. The achievements and image of ecological construction and ecotourism development in the hometown of the Reed Fairy are fully displayed.
The festival is used as a medium to gather friends from all directions; the reed catkins are used as a pen to depict the charm of the wetland. It’s understood that 2018 Ningbo Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park Reed Festival will continue to Nov. 25. During the Reed Festival, there is also a garden party titled “Reed Story”, the award ceremony and an exhibition of award-winning works of Ningbo Hangzhou Bay Cup 6th Zhejiang College Students Photography Competition, “Running into the Reed Fairy” and other wonderful events arranged by the park. Visitors can not only enjoy the beautiful scenery of reed catkins, but also participate in various interesting and wonderful activities, experiencing the pleasure of a visit to Ningbo Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park.
