Recently, in order to actively introduce baseball and softball games into schools and enrich the carrier of sunshine sports activities for primary and secondary school students, the baseball and softball team of the Ningbo University of Technology and the Haizhen School in the Qianwan New Area held unique campus baseball and softball matches for cultural exchanges.

It is reported that the baseball and softball team of the Ningbo University of Technology offers training courses for interest cultivation, skill training, and team cooperation to cater to the characteristics of elementary school sports. The senior team members taught the junior team members in person the experience and skills of passing, receiving, and hitting the balls. The junior team members were eager to try and developed a strong interest in baseball and softball games. In group games, the big players played well, allowing the junior players to experience the unique charm of baseball and softball firsthand.

Baseball and softball, as a trendy and fashionable collective ball sport, is mainly characterized by hitting the ball with a bat. It combines wisdom and bravery, fun and collaboration, and is known as the "chess on the green field". In recent years, the development of baseball and softball games in the Zhejiang Province has been rapid. Taking advantage of the momentum of the Hangzhou Asian Games, the baseball and softball team of the Ningbo University of Technology has ranked among the top 10 of the National College Students Slow Throwing Softball Finals for 2 consecutive years. In 2024, they won the runner up of the Zhejiang Province College Baseball and Softball Championship and the honorary title of Ningbo Outstanding College Students Collective.

Under the promotion of the integrated construction of ideological and political courses in primary and secondary schools and colleges and universities, the baseball and softball team of the Ningbo University of Technology and the Haizhen School will continue to explore the role of ideological and political education in physical education, firmly grasp the concept of "cultivating students with sports", rely on the advantages of campus resources, and take the summer social practice of college students as an opportunity to accelerate the construction of the team's professionalization, scientificization, and standardization.
