Recently, the Engineering Committee of Ningbo Senior Scientists and Technologists Association organized 51 silver-haired experts to visit the Qianwan New Area in Ningbo for an investigation and researches, aiming to gain an in-depth understanding of the area's achievements in intelligent manufacturing and technological innovation.

At the Zeekr Smart Factory, accompanied by explanations from intelligent robots, the experts observed the exterior design, interior features, flexible intelligent production line, and safety test videos of Zeekr's classic car models, expressing admiration for the factory's capability to produce multiple vehicle types. Subsequently, the experts visited the Geely Automobile Research Institute. This institute integrates design and R&D, trial production, quality control, and collaborative supplier development, boasting a leading automotive R&D and testing system with robust verification capabilities. The experts spoke highly of the institute's intelligent connectivity system and lightweight body technology.

During the tour, the experts were deeply impressed. Xu Guangxian, former president of the Ningbo Council for the Promotion of International Trade, remarked that Geely's development epitomizes the journey of Chinese manufacturing from small beginnings to global competitiveness. Chen Zuxiong, Chief Engineer of the Engineering Committee, noted that Geely's transformation from "making cars" to "intelligent manufacturing" is a testament to the rise of Chinese manufacturing.

On the same day, the experts also visited the Zhejiang Hangzhou Bay National Wetland Park, where they enjoyed pristine ecological sceneries. One expert commented that the transition from "industrial intelligent manufacturing" to "ecological beauty" perfectly reflects the Qianwan New Area's development philosophy of being "green, smart, and sustainable".
