To optimize the diversity of public transportation in the Ningbo Qianwan New Area and promote the upgrade of passenger transport services, the Qianwan New Area ⇄ Xiaoshan Airport express bus route commenced operation on July 17, 2025, with ticket presales starting on July 14. During the trial period, the fare is set at 29.9 RMB per person, and will revert to the original price of 70 RMB after the trial. This dedicated route is a collaborative effort by the Qianwan New Area Construction and Transportation Bureau, Culture and Tourism Bureau, and Qianwan Holding Group, coordinating with Cixi Transportation Group and partnering with "Zhejiang Passenger Travel" and "Didi Travel". Leveraging big data and internet technology, it integrates traditional passenger transport with modern innovations to deliver an enhanced travelling experience for Qianwan residents.

Previously, traveling from Qianwan to the Xiaoshan Airport required a transfer via the Zhouxiang Passenger Station, taking approximately two and a half hours. With the new route, travel time for Qianwan passengers to the Xiaoshan Airport will be reduced by nearly one hour, while also lowering costs and improving the overall travelling experience.
