Recently, at the fiercely contested National Soft Baseball and Softball Championship 2025, the baseball and softball team from the Haizhen School World Foreign Language Campus in Ningbo Qianwan New Area achieved an outstanding record of 5 wins and 1 loss, securing the national runner-up title in the one-handed division for first and second graders. The team was also honored with the "Best Participating School" group award! Additionally, six team members swept seven individual honors, including the championship, runner-up, and third place in home runs, the "Anda Award," and the "Best Defense Award", leaving the "Haizhen Mark" on the national stage with their prowess!
It is reported that the National Soft Baseball and Softball Championship 2025 was a top-tier event guided by the Youth Sports Department of the General Administration of Sport of China and jointly organized by the Handball, Baseball, and Softball Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport, the China Softball Association, and the Guizhou Provincial Sports Bureau. The tournament brought together over a hundred of the nation's top youth baseball and softball teams.
The Haizhen School baseball and softball team consists of 20 young players and three professional coaches. During their preparation and training, they overcame the challenges of high temperatures, honing everything from basic skills to tactical coordination, physical fitness to mental resilience. Their actions exemplified the power of teamwork, ultimately leading to a resounding victory.
To actively promote baseball and softball in schools and enrich the platforms for primary and secondary school students' sports activities, the Haizhen School World Foreign Language Campus has deeply implemented the integrated development of ideological and political courses across all educational levels. Additionally, the school has partnered with the Hangzhou Bay Automotive College of Ningbo University of Technology to organize multiple baseball and softball cultural exchange activities on campus. "In the future, we will continue to use baseball and softball as a lever to unlock the athletic potential of more children, allowing the seeds of a sports powerhouse to take root and flourish on campus," said a school official.
